Main Ridge Dairy

Place, patience and the pursuit of excellence.
Set on Bunurong Country in the green hills of the Mornington Peninsula, Main Ridge Dairy has been making goat’s cheese on the farm since 2001. They’re the Peninsula’s first, and still the only goat dairy, quietly focused on doing simple things well.
Owners Sonia and Wayne keep their philosophy clear: great cheese begins with great milk, and great milk starts with well-nurtured animals and nutritious pasture. This approach, along with the dairy being just meters from the factory, ensures their cheese is simply some of the best in the country. In 2025, Main Ridge Dairy earned Australian Food Awards Gold for their Caprino, along with recognition for cheesemaker Charlotte and her team.
When you choose Main Ridge Dairy, you’re backing real people and a small farm that turns careful milk into real cheese, keeping regional cheesemaking strong with every bite.
